The 9th edition of AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2024 was held in person on Tuesday, 5 November 2024.

Similar to last year, this year’s Youth Challenge was organised in person format, with Bangkok as the coordinating headquarter, working closely with AFECA Secretariat office and supporting associations and academic institutions participating in the event.

AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge has come a long way since its inception in 2015. It was an excellent and unique opportunity for the participants to connect with many peers from other participating countries / areas to inspire ideas and share their passion of the industry.

A total of 21 participating teams who are students attending an accredited University or College within Asia competed at this prominent annual Asian MICE Youth Challenge organized by AFECA to inculcate innovative thinking and creativity for the MICE industry. These 21 teams are representing 9 countries/areas that consist of Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.

We are proud to announce the following winners for AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2024:

Champion : AI Business Solution Expo 2025 from Sunway University (Team 1), Malaysia

1st Runner Up : Sustainable Cosmetology Asia from Institute of Technical Education, College Central, Singapore

2nd Runner Up : MartialArtsTech (MAT) Festival 2026from Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

  • 2025 Barrier-Free Toursim Show from Incheon National University, Korea
  • PRINTelligence from Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages (Team 2), Taiwan
  • SpiceXpo 2025 from University of the Cordilleras, Philippines
