Marking its 15th Anniversary in 2021, AsiaWorld-Expo spent over HK$600 million on facility upgrades spanning more than 70,000 sqm. The mammoth renovation project included the installation of new Retractable Seat Riser System, fully renovated Meeting and Hospitality Centre, introduction of Wi-Fi 6 (the first in Hong Kong’s MICE industry), 5G and Mobile Studio together with a series of facility upgrades enabling greater operational efficiency with turnaround capacity enhancements and better visitor experience. The hardware and software upgrades will further enhance the world-class facilities at AWE to offer business partners and visitors a thoroughly renewed experience.

AWE welcomed over 300 mega events each year which attracted high-end business travellers around the world.
