International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) announced, on October 3rd, the 2016 recipients of its individual awards program. Walter Yeh, Executive VP of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (also President of Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations – AFECA, President of Taiwan Exhibition & Convention Association, and UFI Board Member), was named the winner of the 2016 IAEE Outstanding Achievement in Industry Leadership Award. The Outstanding Achievement in Industry Leadership Award recognizes IAEE member who have made an extraordinary personal or professional commitment that materially contributes to the advancement of the exhibitions and events industry. All awards winners will be honored during Expo! Expo! IAEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition to be held 6-8 December 2016 in Anaheim, CA, USA.

Since being elected as President of AFECA last January 1st, Yeh has spent tremendous amounts of effort to promote Asia’s exhibitions and events industry, enhance cooperation between AFECA members and related organizations, as well as continually develop and grow Asia’s vast MICE talent level. Under Yeh’s leadership, AFECA has continued to organize many events, opening up collaboration opportunities for Asia and making AFECA one of the most important exhibition and event associations in Asia.
