PRESS RELEASE
26 October 2016, Taipei: The 11th AFECA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be taking place this coming November 7th to 9th in Xiamen, China. This annual meeting for Asia’s most important MICE association attracts over 130 members and member representatives, including 34 association members, covering 11,000 MICE companies and associations, from across the Asia Pacific region to celebrate a year of hard work and contribution to the MICE industry. Held concurrently to the AGM also includes the 2nd AFECA Awards and the 2nd AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge, two of Asia’s best platforms for best performers and the future of Asia’s MICE industry.
Many of Asia’s top MICE leaders have been nominated and will be vying for the top position as Asia’s best in many MICE award categories. Along with awards for the most outstanding exhibition and event of the year, perhaps the most prestigious of these awards is the Young Professional Award, awarded to the most outstanding MICE professional for his/her contributions throughout this past year. Two winners were named during last year’s 1st ever AFECA Awards, and this year’s competition has generated even more interest. All winners will be announced during a ceremony in front of top notch MICE experts across AFECA’s member region.
Building momentum from last year’s outstanding performance, the AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge enters its second edition, attracting the brightest students from top colleges in the area. The final winner will be announced during a private ceremony among all participants, industry experts and the judging panel.
