Walter Yeh Re-Elected as AFECA President

AFECA members from all over Asia attended the 11th AFECA Annual General Meeting in Xiamen, China, and capped off the day with the AFECA Board bi-annual election. Current President Walter Yeh came out on top, being re-elected as the AFECA President. In addition, the three AFECA Vice Presidents include Chen Xianjin (SCEIA, China), Prapee Buri (TEA, Thailand), and Rosalind Ng (SACEOS, Singapore).

Since his first tenure starting January 2015, Yeh, along with the support from other AFECA Board, Advisory Council and fellow members, has assisted in organizing many events, including the first ever AFECA AEC+ Expo in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last November. Yeh has continually pushed for recruiting new members to join AFECA, as well as invite untapped regions and areas to the AFECA Advisory Council, having AFECA cover all of Asia in every aspect of the industry.

While addressing the crowd, Yeh thanked all AFECA members for their support, as well as putting their faith in having him lead AFECA toward becoming one of the top MICE associations in Asia and the world. During the next two years, Yeh has his visions set on building the entire Asian MICE industry into the biggest hotspot in the world, gathering experts and corporations from other continents to Asia for cooperation opportunities and networking. The new AFECA website, which launched this past September, is the first step in that direction, and Yeh looks to continue this momentum through the next two years and beyond.
