The annual Xiamen Industry Exposition (XMIE) opened last Thursday at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center.

The four-day expo included a total exhibition area of 60,000 square meters and 3,000 standard booths. Representatives of both domestic and international firms joined the event, which also included a series of forums and seminars.

The expo features nine exhibition zones including intelligent manufacturing, rubber industry machinery, machine tools, laser gear equipment, Taiwan-based firms, fluid equipment and hardware, rail transit and intelligent logistics.

Event organizers said that the expo highlighted automatic and intelligent production equipment and served as a platform for machinery and electronics companies to access regional markets.
