London, on 18 July 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy in London, United Kingdom, as an event host, represented by H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand to United Kingdom, together with Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, as a co-host, led by Senior Vice President Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee and TCEB’s Exhibitions Department, recently organized a business discussion and a networking dinner for exhibition organizers in UK to tighten relationship and to expand international collaboration for the benefits of Thailand exhibition industry’s rebound.

Besides a warm welcoming remark and shared valuable information on Thailand’s economy’s recovered competitiveness by H.E. Mr. Pisanu Suvanajata, TCEB Vice President Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee presented strategic directions and support policies, showcasing confidence in Thailand’s capabilities to welcome international trade exhibitions under the “Empowering Exhibition Economy” or “E3” campaign, as well as unveiled Thailand’s readiness and world-class facilities as “ASEAN’s Number 1 Exhibition Destination” to regain confidence from over 10 leading international organizers in UK participating in this event.

TCEB Vice President Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee stated that to attract international show organizers from overseas to stage their shows in Thailand, TCEB has been building international confidence towards Thailand’s competence as well as building networks and business opportunities in the exhibition industry. Moreover, there are also revelations of key events to be held between 2023 to 2028, in which TCEB has been working as a national bidder to bring major international trade exhibitions and events to Thailand according to the huge business opportunities especially in the 12 target industries such as Electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles, Energy, Digital, Bio, Circular and Green or the BCG economic model by the Royal Thai Government. TCEB also plans to welcome world iconic events, as well as to upgrade the quality of existing and forthcoming trade exhibitions. Key events include “Aviation, Logistics and Infrastructure Week,” in preparation for the “Thailand International Airshow” to be held in 2027.

Nichapa elaborated that TCEB is launching the “Empowering Exhibition Economy” or “E3” campaign to support exhibition industry in Thailand with a focus on integrated development for exhibition organizers, exhibition industry and national economy.This includes “PEOs Empowerment: Powerful Subvention Program” which focuses on supporting current exhibition organizers to achieve international professionalism, promoting capabilities for new organizers, bringing in buyers from CLMV countries, and attracting trade exhibitions to be organized in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the newest business and investment location in ASEAN. “MICE Alliance: Powerful Partnership” concentrates on building networks and creating synergy among organizations as national policy makers including state agencies and international corporations for the progressive development of the Thai exhibition industry. “Carbon Neutral Events: Powerful Sustainability Program” holds a key objective to promote sustainable events with environmental practices and carbon footprint reduction. TCEB has set a target by Year 2025 as the Carbon Neutral Events Year for all supported shows. Consequently, all of these lead to “ROE – Return on Everything” which focuses on organizer’s business returns, benefits to Thailand’s exhibition industry and the national economic impact.

The networking dinner also created positive impression and vibrant confidence in Thailand.
