- TAITRA Organizes and Promotes International Trade Shows with Innovation and Sustainability in Mind in the Post-Covid Era
With borders reopened, Taiwan is seeing a rebound in the scale of physical exhibitions. However, TAITRA will continue to organize global exhibitions with mastery of digital marketing and technology and integrate the elements of creativity, innovation, startup and sustainability into the events. Amid the pandemic, TAITRA launched DigitalGO!, an OMO (online merge offline) solutions that capitalizes on digital technology to provide value-added services to exhibitors and TTS D’ Channel, an audiovisual platform dedicated to the physical shows as well as rich side events of all the trade shows. Over the past two years, the former has served more than 3,000 exhibitors and the latter has garnered more than 4 million views from over 130 countries.

Since 2021, all the trade shows organized by TAITRA practices all the social media marketing tools such as KOL and Youtubers guided tours and Podcast programs in the showground also maximize the exposure for our exhibitors.

For example, Uncle Allan from the UK with a viewer base of 260,000 conducted a live tour at 2022 Food Taipei on his YouTube channel “Life in Taiwan.” Youtuber Imserious brings TAITRONICS to his followers’ attention by making a video on the history of Taiwan’s Electronics Industry.

In 2023, in promotion of machine tool trade shows, TAITRA will release on its Podcast show “Manufacturers Win” a new program titled “MySkillsCareer”, in which iconic figures in the manufacturing sector recount how they made their marks with outstanding skills in the industry. In addition, TAITRA plans to roll out a brand-new Podcast program “Bikes & Sports Fun” that features latest products, industry trends, exclusive interviews, sports knowledge, and biking adventures to raise the profiles of TAIPEI CYCLE and TaiSPO among consumers and vendors in the cycling and sporting goods industries.

Startup investors are a bit conservative in the past two years under the shadow of COVID-19. As the world goes back to normal, Taiwan government’s lifting of international travel bans has opened a window of opportunity for startups. In 2023, TAITRA will continue with TAIPEI AMPA JumpStart to match overseas startups with Taiwanese exhibitors at TAIPEI AMPA and display the latest technologies and solutions of start-ups in the InnoVEX exhibition area of COMPUTEX. In addition, TAITRA also intends to play an instrumental role in the success of startups in two other industries – medical & healthcare and EV. At Medical Taiwan, M-novator will be dedicated to startup exhibitors, where they will showcase the latest results of innovation in the presence of global startup investors. 2035 E-Mobility will feature XMobility, where Electric and Autonomous Vehicle startups will be afforded the prime opportunity to partner with global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers. - TAITRA Spearheads Sustainability Effort and Supports Exhibitors in Commitment to ESG
ESG is the cornerstone of a sustainable future. In alignment with the global trend of sustainable development, TAITRA is committed to constructing a sustainable platform for the international trade shows it organizes. Exhibitors are encouraged to replace paper printouts with electronic displays and decorate their booths with recyclable materials for the sake of energy conservation and carbon reduction. In 2022 TAIPEI AMPA & AUTOTRONICS TAIPEI, AMPA ESG Achievement, an ESG marker was awarded to 16 exhibitors in recognition of their ESG practices. As the trade show returns next year, TAITRA will take it to an even higher level by organizing the ESG Talks. Energy Taiwan presented the Energy Taiwan Sustainability Awards in 2022 for the first time to recognize outstanding exhibitors which have practiced sustainability in stand design & construction as well as organized interactive education to the visitors to introduce the ESG concept to the green exhibition.

The world looks poised to move towards net-zero carbon emissions. The United States announced that it will introduce a carbon tax, and the European Union will implement the world’s first carbon border adjustment mechanism. Seeing industries gripped by carbon anxiety, TAITRA steps forward to help Taiwanese businesses align with global heavyweights and integrate into the net-zero supply chains. 2023 TIMTOS will engage carbon reduction /net zero consultants, certification organizations, governmental or non-governmental institutes and provide consultations at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 to businesses curious about their carbon performances. Consultants will also share carbon reduction strategies with corporate attendees. Food Taipei will carry on with the Food for Love campaign, calling on exhibitors to donate quality food and beverage products for charity as a gesture of social responsibility in their commitment to ESG practices.

In addition, as an endorsement of RE100, COMPUTEX will highlight certified exhibitors on their booth signage. During the exhibition, a forum on sustainable issues will also be held with representatives of leading enterprises from home and abroad to discuss economic issues of net zero carbon emissions. It will not only be a great occasion where exhibition participants can interact with one another on responses to ESG initiatives but also pave the way for closer cooperation.

TAITRA expects to hold 26 international trade shows throughout the year of 2023 and will continue to roll out a diversity of innovative services. Going forward, with sustainable development at the core of our missions, we will create a professional exhibition platform dedicated to energy conservation and carbon reduction and reward visitors with more interactive experiences.
